2009 CSA Lottery Complete

We held our 2009 CSA lottery yesterday. There were 44 applications for 34 spots. As I write this Adrienne is contacting the lucky 34 lottery winners. Last season we had an 89% return rate from 2008 to 2009. We are excited this year to have 2 new acres open up for expansion. And so today we welcome 24 new CSA members. We are grateful for the strong demand for our program and are hopeful that the lottery system has been a fair way to deal with the high demand for CSA at Red Wiggler. 2009 CSA Lottery Open

While our return rate for CSA customers is 89% from our 2008 customers we are expanding the program and we have about 30 shares to open to the general public for the 2009 season. This year in hopes of fairness, we are holding a lottery on Thursday January 22nd with all submitted applications and $50 checks. See our CSA page and then follow this link (link removed 01/22/09) to download the 2009 Registration form. At this writing we have received 20 applications for the 30 open spaces. So if you have had trouble joining our CSA in the past this may just be your year to join.
